Today I was able to successfully link my former website (dreamquete.com) with my new domain, ObsidianEen.com. The information below was written 3/13/25. 1. LA, IW, SGCA Obsidian Een The Dagda of Luvpurrs! Three-Time International Winner and Lifetime Achievement Award Winner, Black Exotic Shorthair male Alter. Zip has done everything we could have asked of him, including THIRD BEST ALTER INTERNATIONALLY, BEST EXOTIC ALTER INTERNATIONALLY, and most likely 4th or 5th BEST ALTER INTERNATIONALLY and another BEST EXOTIC ALTER INTERNATIONALLY this show season. Zip should also finish this show season as BEST ALL BREED ALTER IN THE SE REGION (TICA). This magnificent boy draws fans and followers at every show. His perfect conformation and loving, fun personality have made him a favorite with exhibitors, judges, and fans everywhere. He is the quintessential show cat. Zip is my breeding, Luke and Witchy, and I co-own him with my very dear friends, Chris Unangst and Vanadis Crawford.
2. RW, SGC Woodspirit's Mango of Obsidian Een. Red Mackerel Tabby and White Persian male. Many thanks to my friend Sherri of Woodspirit Persians for allowing this magnificent Persian boy to join us here at Obsidian Een. He has everything I was looking for in a Longhair outcross - perfect head, ears, large eyes, super cobby with great bone, short short tail, and a magnificent coat. Add to that his super sweet, loving purrsonality, and he's a winner in every way. He's done showing for now and will soon (hopefully) be siring stunning Exotics and Exotic Longhairs for us. I looked for two years for the right outcross male, and after meeting Sherri's cats and talking at length with her about breeding practices and vision, I knew I had met the person and the cat I wanted.
3. RW, SGC Obsidian Een Belanus of Vannies Paws. Black Exotic Shorthair male. This magnificent boy has earned his Supreme Grand Champion title and Regional Wins as both a Kitten and a Cat in the same show season! He is a half brother to Zip; mother of both is our fabulous Vannies Paws Witchy Woman. She has produced the best kittens I have had in my 25 years breeding and showing. I co-own this magnificent young boy with my dear friend, Mickey of Vannies Paw Exotics and Persians.
4. Double Champion Obsidian Een The Morrigan - Black Exotic Shorthair female. I hadn't actually planned to show Angel! Friends talked me into trying an ACFA show, and there was one locally, 3/8/25, just 20 minutes away! Since there are virtually no TICA shows in my area anymore, I have had my friends Chris and Vanadis showing my cats in TICA in the East. I had noticed that Angel had just blossomed over the past few months, and she is now a magnificent example of the breed. She is Zip's little sister! This lovely, sweet girl had never been around a lot of people, so I thought this smaller show might work well for her - she will be 2 on 3/15. She was a little squirmy in her first few rings -that's to be expected introducing a cat to showing at 2 years old, but she settled in nicely thanks to beautiful handling by the 8 judges who judged her that day. She finaled in all 8 rings, including 3 Best All Breed Cat awards and a Best Champion! Looking back at the finals, she was the only cat in show to final in all 8 rings and finished as Best Cat in Show. ACFA does not generate show reports, but this one was easy to figure out. She has her required finals and just needs to show in 7 more rings to become a Grand Champion! I loved showing in ACFA. Everyone was so friendly, welcoming, and helpful as I navigated learning a new scoring and title system.

OBSIDIAN EEN Exotics and Persians--TICA (DreamQuest - CFA)

is located in Northwest Indiana, about 35 miles southeast of Chicago, Illinois. We are a small cattery devoted to breeding and showing quality Exotic and Persian kittens. Our kittens are raised underfoot with our 2 Cavaliers and Toy Poodle,I began with the intention of breeding show quality Persians and in the process fell in love with Exotic Shorthairs.
Our kittens are raised with a lot of love and attention. People who have adopted our babies often comment on how super sweet and affectionate our babies are. I think part of that is inherent in the Exotic breed, and we make sure that we develop those sweet dispositions with lots of socialization. Although most of the kittens born here at Dreamquete are show or breeder quality, we do place some of our kittens for sale in wonderful pet homes. We place our kittens for sale in homes that agree to never let the kittens outside to roam freely and also agree that the kittens will not be declawed. Kittens are sold on a spay/neuter contract.
